OpenWorld has signed a definitive merger agreement to acquire Blocksight, which will serve as the core operating foundation for its tokenised real-world asset programs in infrastructure and energy.
Blocksight’s AI agents automate key processes like deal structuring, asset verification, and investor reporting, and will be integrated into the OpenWorld Enterprise platform.
This infrastructure supports two major recent initiatives: a non-binding term sheet with BeyondAI for up to $130 million in IP-backed tokenised financing, and a non-binding term sheet with Meridian for upto $1 billion to fund a solar-powered, residential battery-backed distributed AI computing network across 10,00 homes.
After the merger, Blocksight’s co-founders Patrick Kim and Peter Hong are expected to join OpenWorld.
In an agreement signed on October 7 2026, OpenWorld would structure and tokenise an IP-backed financing of up to $130 million. Each token would represent rights to payment backed by eligible patents and software rights.

OpenWorld will serve as adviser, structuring agent, and service provider for a program valued at up to $1 billion, according to the October 15, 2026 term sheet. Rollouts begin in Q4 2026, with the initial commercial site aimed for Q1 2027, utilising Blocksight’s agents to ingest site data, reconcile financing, and investor reporting.
Matt Shaw, CEO of OpenWorld, said, “Programs of that size cannot be verified, onboarded, and reported on by hand,” adding that OpenWorld intends to operate at scale using the agents.
Both deals are still tentative and need final paperwork and checks before they become official. The Blocksight purchase also depends on meeting standard closing requirements, so there is no guarantee any of these plans will actually happen.
