Dream Finders to Buy Beazer Homes in $2.2 Billion Deal

Dream Finders to Acquire Rival HomeBuilder Beazer in $2.2 Billion Deal

Dream Finders Homes, a US-based homebuilding company, is spending around $2.2 billion to buy another homebuilding company, Beazer Homes. The company will pay $33.50 in cash for each Beazer Homes share. The deal, worth $2.2 billion, includes debt, while the equity value of Beazer is about $916 million. That’s why the two numbers are very different.

Dream Finders has taken this significant step to build and sell more homes and expand its business in US markets.  The company will become a much larger homebuilder, with this deal making it the 6th largest homebuilder in the US market.

This merger deal is actually the second offer from Dream Finders to Beazer Homes. Earlier in May 2026, Dream Finders offered to acquire Beazer for $25.75 per share. However, Beazer rejected this proposal as the company felt the price was very low. Since then, Beazer’s share price has risen significantly, around 80% since the original offer was announced.

This deal is also important as US homebuilders are facing several difficulties nowadays. Inflation is driving up building materials and other costs, and tariffs are also making some construction materials more expensive for builders. The situation has reached the point that builders are offering discounts or mortgage rate buy-downs to convince people to buy homes.

Dream Finders and Beazer are expected to close the deal in the fourth quarter of 2026, assuming all required conditions are met.
